Another special from my aunt's old VHS tape. My friend Eric has frequently called this the "Gayest Christmas Special ever" and he means it in the most positive of aways. Everything in this special is campy, over the top, flashy and filled with some of the strangest guests ever.
Where else could you find Oprah, Magic Johnson, Frankie & Annette, Little Richard, K.D. Lang, Charo and many more all in one 45 minute special?
The most interesting thing is that the special explicitly talks about the birth of Jesus in the middle of the special. Something that you rarely see in christmas specials past or present (the only other one I can think of was Charlie brown).
Regardless it's one of my all time favorite specials.
